If you’re currently using virtual machines to run your business’s servers, then you probably already know that the configurations of these machines is vital to their success. There’s a reason that VMware has sought to make the machines’ configuration tools as user-friendly as possible, and there’s a reason that your techies have spent days trying to get everything just so. Having the right configuration makes things run more smoothly, just like it did when you had more traditional servers. With the traditional servers, though, some of the configuration was just in the way the physical machines were set up; now, all of it is done electronically and could easily be erased.
